Fecal Integrity

Fecal Integrity

What is "fecal integrity"? A picture is worth a thousand words. Witness the dilemma:

Get the drift? Okay, I'll get into this poop with you.

You no doubt have some experience what from dropping the proverbial deuce. No? When the fecal waste is compact and well-formed, it comes out in one piece; and, clean. Done. And, done.

The big point is ... clean. No more in the shute. Capish Italiane? Easy peazy, the clean-up.

On the other hand — and don't tell me that you haven't had this experience too — when it's too soft and loose and not fully compacted in the rectum, not all of it comes out. You go through a half a roll of toilet tissue, and it's still not clean! And, since the digestive system is always in the "on" working mode, leftover stuff is constantly being pushed out. The operative term is "skidmarks" in the undies. If you sleep in the nude — and, why don't you, you sexy thing? — the sheets need to be cleaned. Often. Yuk.

So the quick fix is add more fiber in the diet. A second point is, regular times for eating. The latter may, however, be not that easy to schedule. No worries. But, minimize the between-meal snacking.

There are no doubt some psychic factors too. The seat of emotions is said to be in the gut.

As always, we welcome our readers to share their own experiences. Photos, optional.
